Miami Jazz Company’s first fund raising effort will be a CD release party at the Carnival Center Studio Theater on April 27, 2007, to celebrate the release of the Jazz CD “Getting There”, featuring the original compositions of Peter J. Yanowitch, performed by the Quartet Fantastique. The compositions featured on “Getting There” are arranged by Steve Pardo and Landon Knoblock, members of the Quartet Fantastique, and master students from the Jazz studies program of the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Mr. Yanowitch is donating part of the funds from the sale of the “Getting There” CD at the release party to the general scholarship fund of the Frost School of Music.
